NAJAS President

It is my pleasure to announce that Peter Kelley has accepted the position of President of NAJAS, effective September 8, 2009.

He joins NAJAS after serving as Executive Director of the Harvard- Yenching Institute. Previous to that he was a senior manage at Teradyne Corporation.

NAJAS conducted an extensive search during June-August. We were extremely fortunate that several highly qualified persons applied for the position. A committee reviewed the applications after which there were a series of telephonic and subsequent personal interviews. After the committee made their selection, there was coordination with the Executive Committee prior to the actual job offer.

We believe that Peter brings a range of talents and contacts from both the not-for-profit and business world that will help NAJAS move forward in the years ahead.
