The Japan Society of Boston, Inc. is a tax-exempt organization whose mission is to promote cultural and economic ties and active interchange between Japanese and Americans for mutual understanding, benefit and enjoyment. The oldest Japan Society in the United States, it celebrated its centennial year in 2004, and it continues to serve as a bridge and programming nexus for a network of individuals, cultural and academic institutions, and business and financial firms, linked together by a strong interest in Japan and a shared recognition of the importance of the U.S.-Japan relationship.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
INDIVIDUAL ($45 )
All membership benefits for one individual.
FULL-TIME STUDENT ($30)
All membership benefits, plus special student rates for some programs. (Copy of school ID must be submitted with application.)
SENIOR CITIZEN ($30)
All membership benefits for one individual. Persons 65 years old or older are eligible.
OVERSEAS MEMBER ($45)
All membership benefits for one individual.
FAMILY ($60)
All membership benefits for individual family members living at the same address. Please include list of family members with application.
CONTRIBUTING ($150)
All membership benefits for individual family members living at the same address, plus
invitations to "special member" receptions.
SUSTAINING ($300)
All above benefits, plus discounted admission for guests to Society-sponsored programs; invitations to special lunch and dinner events.
Friend ($700)
All above benefits, plus free admission to
programs (excluding conferences and
special events), and one free guest pass
per event.
