The Japan in
the Schools project is an interactive program designed to engage
children about life in Japan. A team of English and Japanese speaking
volunteers visit classrooms and introduce Japanese culture and language
to area students. Volunteers
bring visual aids, artifacts, and hands-on projects suitable for
each grade level. Each
visit is prepared with the classroom teacher in order to complement
the teacher's lesson plan.
