Paul J Wilhelm Memorial Golf Outing

Location: Valley Brook Country Club

Join us for a fun day of lunch, golf, dinner and exciting raffle opportunities! Registration begins April 1, 2010.  The Japan-America Society of Pennsylvania's Paul J Wilhelm Golf Outing is a popular event and spaces fill quickly.  The number of participants is limited on the 27-hole course. Reservations are taken on a first-come first-served basis. The cost is $275 per person, $1,100 per foursome.  Price includes golf fees, lunch, course refreshments, bar beverages and dinner. The cost to attend only the dinner is $60 per person.

12 p.m.     Shotgun Start (Modified Scramble Format)

5:30 p.m.  Cocktails/Dinner


Golfers compete for winning team trophies, individual skill prizes, and hole-in-one prizes.  Highlights of the event include the Grand Prize Raffle, exciting opportunities for theater tickets, dinners, golf items and more.  Tickets are sold during the cocktail hour and dinner.

Free gift to all attendees: Pirates Aluminum Water Bottle The first annual “ASIAN CELEBRATION” will take place on Friday, April 16th, 2010 at a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game in PNC Park. This event will feature performances, music, and a chance for attendees to discover the rich culture, language and heritage of Asia. Three different types of seating are available: Outfiled Box w/ Pirates Cap - $18.00; Deck Seating - $10.00; and Outfield Grandstand - $7.00.  Click here for the order form.

Kyogen (literally “mad words”) is a form of Japanese theater dating back to the medieval era. The Yamamoto Kyogen troupe, on a six-city tour of North America, will perform two plays: Shidō Hōgaku (Stop in your Tracks) and Tsukimi-zatō (Moon-viewing Blind Man).

Cost: Free for Pitt students, faculty, and staff. $10 for non-Pitt students 12 and older. $10 for seniors. $15 for the general public.

Origami Club of Pittsburgh

Origami Club of Pittsburgh was founded in 1988. The club meets the 3rd Saturday of each month at Sq. Hill Carnegie Library (Children's Department): 12 noon - Beginners; 1:30 p.m. - Advanced. For more information go to the web site:
