Minasama
konnichiha!
To give you
a little introduction about myself, I am 27 years
old. I began studying Japanese as a student at South
Fayette High School and was introduced to the JASP
in 1996 when I participated in the annual Japanese
Speech contest. After graduating from the University
of Pennsylvania, where I studied Psychology and
Japanese, I went to Japan as a participant on the
JET Program. I taught English at two rural high
schools in Iwate-ken for three years and at an elementary
school for two years in Shiga-ken. Upon returning
to Pittsburgh last month I was VERY LUCKY to secure
a position with JASP! It feels good to come back
to my hometown and have the opportunity to stay
connected with Japan. I am anxious to contribute
towards the improvement of the programs JASP facilitates
and hope to continue increasing knowledge about
Japan in my home country. Thanks and I look forward
to meeting you in the future! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
