On Wednesday, October 28th, The Pittsburgh Foundation will host Pittsburgh's Day of Giving - a day when your gift of $50 or more through the site will be matched 50¢ to the $1, up to a gift of $2,500 per individual.

The Pittsburgh Foundation has made it easier than ever for you to extend your helping hand to The Japan America Society of Pennsylvania. On Match Day, you can just log onto the new pittsburghgives.org website. You'll find The Japan America Society of Pennsylvania with secure donation options. JASP Career Fair a Big Success!

Career seekers and recruiters reported the event was a success! 

Seven member companies of the JASP searched for new talent in the Pittsburgh Area. Attendees filled the conference room in the USX building.

Free Torchlight Performances
in Bloomsburg Town Park

On August 7 and 8, 2009 the Noh Training Project (NTP), a program of the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, will celebrate its 15th Anniversary with a presentation of the classic Noh play Funabenkei.

Under the Artistic Direction of Noh expert Richard Emmert, and with the professional assistance of professional Noh actors Matsui Akira and Oshima Kinue, this torchlight presentation of Funabenkei will be performed in Japanese by the Senior Students of NTP. The evening will begin at 7:00 p.m. when the first year and intermediate students will offer short excerpts from Noh plays with commentary from NTP Director Richard Emmert. The torch lighting ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. followed by the performance of Funabenkei. Local vendors, including Catawissa Bottling Company will be selling refreshments throughout the evening.
