Bill Attridge, President of Tokyo-based High Technology Management, Inc., discussed the key factors that go into modeling a business in Japan and demonstrates a computer simulator that allows exploring alternatives. He described the key factors that go into the business model and provide a suggested structure for modeling, budgeting, and reporting.
This JASIG featured David Faries, President & CEO of NeuralTech Business Information, Inc., leading a discussion on "Getting the Information You Need to Do Successful Business in Japan." Each year American businesses lose millions of dollars in doing business in Japan as a result of the lack of information. These costly information deficiencies occur in every industry and every type of business situation, ranging from one-time to long-term purchases and sales agreements, selecting new employees, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions. These information challeneges and their solutions were discussed by Faries, who also discussed how American business people can improve their information resources and in-depth information gathering techniques, using services available in the United States.
