  NAJAS-Boston Symposium Overview    
  In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of US-Japan relations and the 100th anniversary of Japan Society of Boston, the National Association of Japan-America Societies and the Japan Society of Boston will host a two-day event in Boston with participants from across the U.S. and Japan.    

Participation is limited to:

  • NAJAS member Japan/Japan-America Society staff, board members, and supporting organizations
  • America-Japan Societies staff (in Japan), board members, and supporting organizations
  • NAJAS Corporate Forum members
  • US-Japan 150th Anniversary sponsors

October 28 (Thursday)
Welcome reception (evening) at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
October 29 (Friday)
NAJAS board meeting, joint session with NAAJS, NAJAS workshops, keynote luncheon featuring Dr. Richard Samuels, MIT, at the Omni Parker House in Boston.
October 30 (Saturday)
Japan Society of Boston 100th Anniversary Symposium at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, bus tour of Fairhaven, and closing reception.
