NAJAS INTERNSHIPS

NAJAS offers internships to college students majoring such fields as international relations, East Asian studies, nonprofit management. Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in Japan, U.S.-Japan relations, public and nonprofit management.

We are accepting applications on rolling basis. This is a project-driven internship. The responsibilities include:

  • Conducting the Membership Survey with 37 member societies
  • Collecting, analyzing and presenting data

  • General office clerical tasks (e.g. answering phone calls)
  • Variety of assigned projects to enhance the impact on the bilateral relationship from NAJAS, our members and partners.
  • Independent self-directed projects on US-Japan relevant themes can be incorporated.
  • Good speaking and writing skills are required.
  • Interns learn about Japan, U.S.-Japan relations, public and nonprofit management.

          Please note that the internship is non-paid, but commuting costs by public transportation will be reimbursed.
